Я дочитала «Рожденного туманом» Брендона Сандерсона. Множество чувств в душе моей сейчас. От злости на логические несостыковки до восторга от сюжета. Меня бесили шероховатости и плоскости, ухабы глупостей, но в конце концов я в таком невероятном счастье, что прочитала это. Как же хорошо забыться, полностью проникнуться миром, чудом созидания фантастического! Я давно этого не испытала, давно так не радовалась. Ниче…

Забавно, что в это же время, но в другом месте, пройдет встреча с призером Букера. На которую у меня тоже есть билеты. Но выбор то очевиден, камон!

Я, бай зе вей, прослушала первые две книги и считаю, что это произведение искусства. Не знаю пока как будет дальше, но искренне, всей душой полюбила эти мужицкие сказки. Очень жаль упущенной возможности получить классную высокобюджетную экранизацию. Скрещу половинки попы Помолюсь всем богам, чтобы однажды ее увидеть.

Я, кстати, переехала в Англию (а ты думал, я просто так молчу?) и наконец поняла, в чём секрет английской литературы. Помимо очевидных и вполне объективных причин — английского языка, колониального прошлого и многотонных письменных источников — здесь какая-то до невозможности красивая природа. На фото происходит выпрашивание еды, в неком парке и у некой женщины.

Я это всё к чему? Фольклорист Питер Стивенсон пишет странные книги о странных сказках, преданиях и даже шутках народов, о которых мы где-то слышали, но давно забыли. Какие-то из этих историй достаточно известны — как, например, волшебное дерево у трассы — а какие-то именно благодаря Стивенсону впервые доходят до широкого читателя. Чёрт с ним с Новым годом. Я перечитала всего Бакмана. А он возьми и новую книгу выпусти. Что подтверждает простую истину: пиши посты, женщина! новое неизбежно.
