После того как экспедиция достигла самой южной точки Африки, мыса Игольный, двое из нас улетели домой. После продажи сломавшийся машины ехать на арендованной весь оставшийся маршрут — дорого, а продолжать движение на общественном транспорте — это быть связанным его графиком и теми местами где он есть. Самые отчаянные из нас (Сева и Петро) поехали дальше на автобусах и перекладных.
Кухня ЮАР получает оценку 7 из 10. Национальные африканские блюда встречаются редко, и приготовлены хорошо. В основном упор делается на европейскую кухню в самом широком диапазоне (от ирландских пабов до итальянских пиццерий), оно и понятно: белых здесь очень много. Блюда большие, приготовлены из качественных продуктов, очень вкусные. Цены на еду в ресторанах и кафе — московские. Отдельно выделяются вина ЮАР: за 3–4$…
Кейп — город номер один в списке городов чёрной Африки.
Общие впечатления от ЮАР исключительно позитивные. В Кейптауне — просто прекрасно. Если у вас есть возможность и неделя свободного времени смело летите в Кейп: это будет хороший опыт и классные впечатления. Разумеется, не стоит посещать Йоханнесбург: там действительно опасно. В остальных городах и местах достаточно прилично (но всё-таки не стоит забывать, что это — Африка).
Ещё несколько слов о Кейптауне. Для нас этот город, пожалуй, оказался самым приличным во всей чёрной Африке, если не брать в расчёт маленькие городки в Намибии (Людериц, например). Кейп — современный город с развитой инфраструктурой (есть Убер) и разными активностями: можно полетать на параплане со Столовой горы:
Или поиграть в шахматы на набережной.
Иногда встречается странного вида современное искусство. Но это лучше, чем ничего. Особенно если учесть, что это — Африка.

Примерно в 40 километрах южнее Кейптауна расположен мыс Доброй Надежды. Оказывается, это не самая южная оконечность Африки. Просто о нём много написано в литературе и звучит поэтично, поэтому именно это название приходит на ум. Капский даман смотрит на мыс Доброй Надежды (воооон те камни, выдающиеся в океан).

Самая южная часть Африки — это мыс Игольный. Он формально делит океан на Индийский (слева) и Атлантический (справа). Добрались. Ещё южнее в Африке быть невозможно. Самая дальняя точка от дома.
