Urging people to prepare and ready themselves on every level — spiritually, materially, and psychologically — is far better than sedating them with illusions and wishful thinking. These events — and this entire period — are greater than all of us, and Allah knows best. So place your trust in none but Allah, rely on none but Him, and do not navigate exceptional times as you would ordinary circumstances.

The rise to prominence of the ruwaybiḍa — the inconsequential man who speaks on public affairs — is a danger to religion, reason, and morality. How truthful was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in forewarning of this condition from that early age, describing the ruwaybiḍa as: "the trivial, insignificant man who speaks on the affairs of the common people" — and in another narration: "the fool."

Let those who justify manifest and evident wrongdoing beware — lest Allah inscribe in their record the burden and sin of that wrong, even if they were never present for it. And glad tidings to those who advise sincerely, enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong.
